Agent Sandbox is enabled per cluster as a component of the Platform Config. Turning it on tells the operator to install the sandbox controller and its custom resources and to apply the namespace and network isolation you configure. This is an administrator task.

Prerequisites

  • The mogenius operator is installed on the cluster.
  • A GitOps engine (Argo CD or Flux) is configured — the Platform Config is applied to the cluster through GitOps.

Enable the component

Edit the Platform Config in the UI under Cluster → Settings → Platform config and enable Agent Sandboxes. The component exposes a small inline form:
  • Namespace — the namespace sandboxes run in (default agent-sandbox).
  • Managed network policy — when on, the operator maintains a default-deny egress NetworkPolicy for the sandbox namespace, so sandboxes only reach what you explicitly allow.
  • Additional blocked CIDRs — extra network ranges to deny, on top of the defaults (for example your internal API-server or metadata ranges).
Saving writes the change back to Git, and the GitOps engine reconciles the cluster to match.

As a resource

The component is a block on the PlatformConfig resource:
Once reconciled, the operator installs the sandbox controller and seeds a standard Sandbox Template and Warm Pool, which you can use as-is or extend.

Migrating from the Agent Sandbox Blueprint

Earlier releases shipped Agent Sandbox as a Helm Blueprint. It is now a Platform Config component, so the two must not run side by side. If you previously installed the agent-sandbox Blueprint, uninstall that release before enabling the component to avoid a conflict on the same namespace and release name.
